Need help!! :o
My fiancee will be moving to NJ and relocating to work in the Poconos, however my new job will be in Airmount NY.....where should we relocate? we will rent temporarily and eventually buy later this year. Oh, I also have a 6yr and good schools are important as well. Please help anyone who knows those areas!

Probably somewhere along Rt.80. Allamuchy? Byram? Mountain Lakes? What is your budget?

Also, what do you prefer? Country like living where you have to drive miles to everything, with limited access to shopping or a more built-up area?

These two areas are pretty opposite of each other. I mean Airmont, NY is no where near the Ponoco's. Now the best to be in the middle would be in Orange County, NY. This way you and him could get to work easier. If he is in the Pocono's by Scranton. If he is in the Pocono's off route 80 that changes everything. Need more info on where he is working. Pocono's is a broad range could be off I 84 or I 80? If off 84 your alittle easier to Airmount , NY in Orange COunty, NY if off 80 then I would go with the half way point like MOunt Olive, NJ This is not an easy one.

My fiancee will be off 80 area of Poconos....so I dunno if that helps. I know! its gonna be a killer commute!!

 well, he works out of poconos off 80....and its gonna be a killer commute! Thanks!

I'm just wondering- have you considered a job closer to his job?
I know these aren't the times to leave a secure job if you have one.
Or do you have a job (teacher, etc.) where getting another job isn't really an option?
