Nah I'd rather beat em
So are they gonna put yet more restaurants in the mall? I thought most of them were spread out around the area.

Last I heard, there is definitely going to be a Maggiano's and a few other restaurants that have yet to be determined. One rumor was that they were trying to get a brew-pub type place such as Iron Hill or Rock Bottom.

Yeah I heard Maggiano's and also heard that Bertucci's may come back which I find hard to believe since they are similar in style.
Cherry Hill Mall better get their construction done SOON. Xmas shopping is a few weeks away.

There's already a Bertuccis down the road at Moorestown Mall.

You do realize there WAS one in the Cherry Hill mall also before the renovations?

That makes alot of sense...I assume the malls must've been trying to compete just a few miles from each other with having many of the same stores
But I must've forgotten,I didn't frequent CH much anyway. Too congested.
I do recall going to Houlihan's a couple times there though.

So funny. That bertuccis was there for like 2 years and NO ONE knew about it. It was next to Macys on 38 side but so hidden that seriously it was ALWAYS empty. I can't tell you how many times people didn't know there was one there.

The future of Cherry Hill is that it will continue to be a victim to poor urban planning. A typical new age suburb with no downtown and horrible traffic relative to the low density of the area. They knocked down a racetrack, which is an interesting attraction, for a cookie cutter shopping center replica of suburban Chicago. I get the impression Cherry Hill is becoming the southern equivalent of Paramus, NJ. Think Route 17 traffic.
If any of you have ever had the "pleasure" of using route 17 in Paramus, while all the mall zombies go shopping on a Saturday, you know it is torture. You do not want this. You may want to write to your local politcians to put a stop to all this.

The parallels that can be drawn here are the constructions of Rts 17 and 4, as well as Rt 38, which were planned and conceived back in the days when botchulism was still considered a sauce. During the mid 1920s, highway engineers were basically trailblazers. Rt 70 (Marlton Pike) I believe was devised just after WW II. There is no real order to these routes going through Camden County. Rt 17, until it was given a major facelift, suffered the same fate. In fact, if Rt 38 could have the same improvements performed on it as did Rt 17, (no intersections at grade) you'd see the situation clear up pretty quick. In other words, you need more bridges like the Rt 73 bridge at the Moorestown Mall constructed at places such as the Kings Hwy interchange, which was not completely eliminated when the circle was, as well as overpasses at Coles Rd/Church Rd, Mall Drive and Longwood Ave.
