Being schools, they will turn you and your children into mutual strangers at the very least. You can't do much about school besides hoping against hope that all goes well, since parents have little control over what takes place there. I would encourage you to stage a clean mental break from the idea of public schooling altogether. How did the American people come to find themselves in this position, anyway?

Well if you value the rankings, Hightstown HS (where East Windsor kids attend) ranked 175th out of 316 ranked NJ High Schools (NJ Monthly 2008). That means, about 45% of the High Schools in NJ rank higher than Hightstown High. Not too bad!

East Windsor is in Mercer Co. home to the 6th ranked HS (Princeton) and Trenton Central HS ranked 311th. Not many districts compare themselves to Trenton (but we're better than Trenton.....doesn't really cut it) so the area schools get compared to the likes of Princeton, West Windsor (19th) and Hopewell Valley Central (39th). Tough competition.
We have many friends whose kids have done extremely well in the East Windsor School district and really enjoyed their experience.
