Default holy moly the classifieds in Bergen Record YIKES!!

I recall around Holiday time this time now the Bergen Record would have tons and I mean two sections of job ads. Now they were not the greatest and alot were Holiday help but if we got 2 pages and thats giving it alittle more, thats amazing!! I can't believe how little there is. I am following the market for jobs, it has a great interest to me due to so many of my friends are getting axed. This is depressing!!

Can you imagine if we lived in rural Nebraska, where do you work?? I mean this is the METROPOLITIAN MEGALOPOLOUS and these is squat.

wdamiano is on a distinguished road
I think that is because most companies are using Monster.com and other websites instead of the outragous cost of newspaper ads.

Your right. That is the case all over. There is almost zero Christmas hiring going on. In the past I used to see news paper ads for holiday help beginning right around this time. So far the only one I seen is Macys.

The city I just left, in its heyday 3 years ago had about 30 pages of jobs separated into 2 sections in the Sunday paper. In my current city it was almost the same. Todays Sunday paper was 5 pages long for jobs. Ouch !!

Even Craigslist used to have 3 pages of jobs per day not very long ago. Each page had 100 listings. Today there are less then 10 jobs per day and most of that is just telemarketing crap.

Things ain't good out there.
