Question need info on Shell Oil Co. in NJ

My son is doing a school project on NJ and we need to find information on Shell Oil Co. in NJ. Can anyone give me any history here? I have no idea where to even start to look. Thanks!

Shell has been around for a long time. My dad leased 2 Shell stations in the 60's, one in Maplewood the other on Morris Ave in Union. He left Union around 1969.

Shell Oil Co probably has a website. I know the Royal Dutch family either has or had a chunk of the action.
