Let's try this again - US Attorney Chris Christy Stepping Down
High fives, huzzahs, chest bumps and huge sighs of relief are the order of the day in Trenton.
The guy was 130 for 130 in arrests and convictions of our beloved politicos for corruption.
I wonder who President-elect Obama will replace him with?
I wonder if he'll run for Governor of NJ? We could do worse.

Missed the first round....
CC...I'd vote for him. He gets the job done. Unlike Corzine who never intended to.
IMO, Corzine bought his way into the governor's digs that he's too good to use. The Hamptons have so much more (like Paris Hilton and her ilk) to offer. His intentions WERE to get a presidential appointment. Hopefully he'll get one and go away. And THEN we'll get to see all those emails between him and his little union darlin'.

You told me that if Christie runs, Corslime would beat him by double digits.
I say no way.
If you're up for it I'll go for $20.

20 it is. I wouldn't for a NJ Dem if my life depended on it. I was just trying to show how stupid a lot of these voters are in this state to keep voting in the same old same old while their taxes go sky high.
All in the name of education and those wanting a nanny state government, I guess.

I won't go with a double digit spread but the urban machines and public worker's unions will hand Corzine the win.

Here's my BIG problem (one of them) with the remaining NJ residents, the ones who live in the suburbs, with sizeable incomes. In theory, it would seem to be in their best interests, as productive, working people, to vote this cutpurse out of office. The conventional wisdom to the contrary suggests there are # of people in the cities that can negate these votes. I reject that notion. There should be at least a 65-35 majority of people in counties such as Morris, Somerset, Monmouth, Ocean, Hunterdon, etc, that can withstand the urban vote. However, the plurality in these places is never sufficient enough to prevent these rapscallions from being re-elected, time after time. Frank Lautenberg is an obvious example. This is a man awash with mediocrity, however, every six years, he is awarded another term. Corzine makes Lautenberg look like Guiliani. And yet, there is a thread here that suggests that Christie wouldn't stand a chance against him. Why? What ails (at least politically) the upper five figure/six figure income NJ voter? Are they too pre-occupied with their occupations or their high speed yachts to bother to cast a dissenting vote on the first Tuesday of November?
