I found an article, on-line, in the ICIS news (Chemical Business). It states that "in 1997, the Principal Aroma Chemicals Plant in Union Beach was closed and production was transferred to a new plant in Augusta, Ga and an exsisting plant in Benicarlo, Spain".
It doesn't say anything thing about the Union Beach plant being used or closed completely. IFF also acquired BBA, another fragrance company.
yes there is a huge strip mall there now. i remember that huge cup out front and across the highway was the farm where they had the living pumkin family or something like that. strip mall there now too.
i drive by iff and see cars there in the parking lot so i always thougth it was still being used.

That was the old wagon farm. I remember school trips to that place and picking out pumpkins. Now it's an A&P...
I'm not sure if there was one in Keansburg, I know there was one in Hazlet on rt 36. Now it's a huge Quick Check gas station. I remember there being a Farm Barn on rt. 36 in Keansburg. Do you remember that?
I haven't heard of IFF closing. That would be very big news around here if it did. I hope it doesn't close, I know a few people who work there.
