hi, we are planning to move to Maplewood soon and since I like the town and the house so much, I didn't think about my commute too much until now...
Now, I find that the jitney service runs only like every 30 minutes and it runs only during the prime commute hours... My plan is to take the jitney to the train station, go to Penn station, then subway to my Midtown office. Here are my questions:
- how do you like jitney service?
- can we normally get a seat on train from Maplewood? I will be catching the train around 8-8:30.
Any info is appreciated! I am currenty taking a NJTransit express bus to Port Authority. While it's convenient on a good day( door to door 1 hour), it takes longer especially during the evening on a bad day and also often I wait 20-30 minutes waiting at Port Authority.... Very uncivilized. Hope my commute from Maplewood will be better (although it will be longer a bit)!
35 to 45 minute ride on the train go to njtransit.com and you can plan out your trip
