Yes you do. I attended a 8 hour course and took a fifty question test. I'm selling the answers. LOL

Name your price! Just kidding, I'm not a cheater....besides, you'd probably arrest me. But I'd claim entrapment!

The US Coast Guard Auxliary also offers a course. I took it years ago and it was very educational and helpful for a first time boater.

Someone else has probably already given this witty retort, but oh well.

Don't own a boat, know someone who owns a boat- thats the ideal situation.

Can somebody please provide me with a link to obtain more info on the Coast Guard Course? For the life of me, I cannot find any info on it. I thought I was a good Googler... Jersey man, or anybody else??

I want a boat. I start taking sailing lessons on April 12th, and very excited about that !!

Coming from a family of boat owners, I recently told my uncle I wanted a boat. He responded, "Flush a $100.00 down the toilet and if that doesn't bother you at all, buy a boat".

I've heard the kicked up version of that.

Every weekend go down to the waters edge...open up your wallet and throw all your cash into the water. Walk away and don't look back... When you can do that time after time without it bothering you...THEN you're ready to own a boat.

Yes I'm a boat person

Thanks so much! It's a little confusing to me though. There are several courses listed there...which is the one where I take the course, then at the end they give me my boating license? Or do I have the whole thing backwards?!
