I know. It seems like the roads to the only edible pizza always leads to the northeast, doesn't it.?

Bob I have not. I thought I did but then I went back to NJ and realized I had just dropped my standards. If you have any recommendations I am all ears!
I did find some decent bagels at Bagelicious in East Cobb.

So very true. I was visiting my brther down the shore this summer and he ordered a pizza from a roadside sub shop and it was so delicious. Even the top pizza shops here in GA cannot make a pie as good as one you can just pick up anywhere in NJ. It is so unfortunate!

No, I'm in a Nashville Suburb. The pizza I get is Joey's House of Pizza in Brentwood, TN, and the family that owns it have a hugh brooklyn Accent!
In Atlanta you might try Mellow Mushroom, its decent, but not like Joey's which surpasses any pizza I ever had.Mellow Mushroom is a chain, so we have a few here. The decor of their restaurants looks like the 1960s, early 70s, so kind of fun.
Atlanta is the headquartes of my New Neighbors Club. They have a Chapter in Atlanta also, and in quite a few other states.

I think it's been said before, but there's a difference between "looking back" as in regreting your decision and "looking back" as in still hanging on the board here. We don't regret our decision to move one iota- it was a great move for us in every way- but that doesn't mean I don't still hop on here just to see what's happening in NJ. I've got +/- 30 years of friends/family there, as well as plenty of good advice to give (at least I think it's good....lol).

There's a place called Touch of Italy over by use in Woodstock that's very good. There's also a place over near the Gwinett Arena (the name escapes me) and there's a pizzeria attached to the Alpine Bakery in Alpharetta that's excellent. Alpine, btw, has some of the best baked goods you'll find anywhere.

Oh stop it...
So, if you leave NJ you should be banned from this forum?
Bah Humbug!
Hey, BrianH actually made a strong attempt at moving back to NJ, but decided to come back South again...I guess the pizza and bagels just couldn't keep him in NJ.
I'm coming back up to NJ this week and I'm bringing a smile, coupla "y'alls", some Cheerwine, BBQ and fried okra so y'all better brace yourselves!
And I'm going to convince (anyone who will listen) that there is life after New Jersey. (I've already converted two families.)
....all in good fun...Gobble Gobble Y'all!
