To help you find the right town, please include a price range and other interests...

Instead of:

"We are first time buyers looking for a 3 bedroom home in northern NJ. Where should we look?"

Try:

We are first time buyers looking for a 3 bedroom home in northern NJ. We want a downtown and want to spend $4-500K. We like older homes and have two kids in elementary school. I work in Manhattan and my wife works in Bridgewater."

This way the army of experts from city-data can assist you more effectively.

There are tons of threads on this forum started by people supposedly looking for homes that are missing that info.

Most of them are probably started by the same guy just trying to have a little fun on here. I stopped responding to those long ago.

The Italian housewife and the yuppie couple with all the wants and still worried about the snobs were really memorable.
