Good area to buy a home and invest in? (Newark: short sales, condos)

Would this be a good area to invest in or by a house in?

I came across these plans on-line that Woodbridge township has to turn the Fords area along the bay and river into a old fashioned town, artists colony, restaurant, port/park, whatever. Apparently the township does have the money to go forward with this. They also have huge plans to use solar energy on public buildings.

It already has water, rail and highway access to NYC. About 16minutes form Newark airport.

I think they're still trying to clean the mess McGreevey left them when he was mayor.

You should look into investing in Perth Amboy. I think The Landings just sold their last seven condos but there might be some resale and short sales. It's brand new, right on the water, and Perth Amboy has the ferry to NYC.
