Cheap Eats in South Jersey?
Anyone know of any good cheap places to eat(fast food aside)in South Jersey? Perferably in the Camden/Burlington County area.
Right now when we're poor we find that Cracker Barrel or Nifty Fiftys does pretty well, you can usually get dinner for 2 for like 20 bucks!

I'm hoping that somebody bails us out. There's way too may chain or expensive restaurants around here. The diners are either losing quality or raising prices. Yeah, yeah, I know.
I know of a couple of places to get a good sandwich. I'm still looking for that family restaurant with good eats and reasonable prices.

I used to take my daughter to the China Buffet in Browns Mills.
If you're around there, check their schedule. Lunch is cheaper, we used to try to get there for a late lunch, before it changed to dinner prices.

I usually despise buffets but I'd maybe try new ones sometimes. We usually go for dinners.

I've found that it depends on when you get there for freshness/hotness.
There are days when their menu is better, although it's been a while since I've been there.
Out of the Chine Buffets in the area (B mills, Mt Holly (next to social security) and the one by Staples on 541, the one in Browns Mills is the best

Browns Mills may be a bit far from where I usually go in the Mt.Laurel area, besides I've noticed that most all buffets have the exact same foods anyway.

Not the 3 that I mentioned. Food is different.
Browns Mills has an awesome black pepper pork chop that I haven't seen at the other ones. Wish I could remember the other dishes that were different.

Agreed some places will have a small variation on dishes but they're usually based on a standard menu of foods. There's only so much egg roll or steak-like stuff I can look at

Ponzios on Rt. 70 in Cherry Hill.
Technically it's a diner but the food is far superior than any diner I've been to. I love their pecan encrusted chicken salad.
