Default Good Eye

Funny, I just posted this in another thread. I hadn't been in Perth Amboy in about 8 years until I started doing some business there last year. I can't tell you how impressed I was at the makeover that city's undergone. Smith Street has changed dramatically, the downtown is nicer and you can't even mention the Waterfront Section. The houses there are easily $700K+. I'm not trying to overstate this, but I think it's improved more than any other urban city in NJ in the last 5-10 years. The population has remained predominantly Hispanic, the cost of living is still pretty affordable and there is a train station and bus transportation. Perth Amboy still doesn't have the best reputation, but I'm telling you, you could do alot worse.

wow thats good to hear. I heard that there was alot of urban renewal in the works. Middlesex's only urban areas New Brunswick and Perth Amboy have really stepped it up. Not sure if you have been to New Brunswick lateley. ITs great now. There are still some iffy spots though.
