Default Identity theft family needs christmas help

Hello, my name is Tina from Gloucester City, NJ. I am married and have two
wonderful children, John 16 and Jeena Lee 6. We had our identity
stolen last year and lost our home and every dime we had. We became homeless,
then had to move in with my mother for a few months rather than a
shelter. Thanks to the Board of Social Services, we were able to get a
place of our own, but they stopped helping after a few months because
my husband started receiving Social Security Disability. That barely
covers the rent and part of our gas & electric each month. This year
I am afraid that my children will not have a Merry Christmas. I don't
want to have to make a choice between having heat and lights or presents
for my children under the tree. They have been through so much this year
and they do not deserve any more heartache. They are just innocent
children who are caught in the middle of something that they are too young
for. I have never in my life asked for anything from anyone. I have always
been the one giving. Please, if there is any help available for them,
I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and God Bless.

I suspect everyone feels as I do. I hate hearing things like this. There should be no such thing as homeless and hungry in America. It's disgusting that there is. And when things like multi trillion dollar bailouts are the main topic on the current event news every day, doesn't it make anyone of us peons think just a little bit? Just think how many millions of kids and adults as well we could have helped by scrapping that stupid NASA launch last week. There is nothing more useless and stupid then that.

I feel for you Miss. I had my identity stolen too and Washington Mutual gave away every penny of my money with no compensation to me for their mistake. Lawyers dont help. Im sure you know all about it. I pulled up my pants again and started over. It sure ain't hard to fall while trying again though. Especially in this depression we are in.

I hope the following posts by others can send you in the right direction. I know it ain't gona put gifts under your tree for you but my heart is with ya and all the others like you.............

Default Washington Mutual

How strange is this? Washington Mutual was involved in mine. But the real culprit was Emigrant Mortgage. So weird.

I'm really sorry for your situation. For help with the gifts and perhaps food, I would contact your local churches. The Catholic churches have a Saint Vincent DePaul Society which helps people in need. Our church has a giving tree and we pulled ornaments for children. We have sent in gift cards so the parents can pick the gifts.

Good luck and God bless you!

I PMed you. Please dont do like the last one who asked for help and so many responded. They never responded back, and I was willing to help. How can I help if someone does not respond back? So please stick around. This is the last one I answer!

I don't ask for much, only a measly million dollar (chump change now days) the Govt won't bail me out, it says I'm not a financial institution nor a car company, no matter how much I tried to dress like a dollar bill or a car mechanic. <sigh>

I wish you luck. I think tandcookies had the best suggestion above.

On a side note, I am saddened to say that I am at least partly suspicious and cautious when reading something like this. I don't want to be cynical, but there are too many instances where people take advantage of the good intentions of others. I am not suggesting this is the case here, and I do wish you the best.

I apologize up front if I am wrong, but did you send around the same message last year at this time? I seem to remember a thread identical to this one.

A lot of county libraries have a "make a wish" Christmas Tree with childrens names on it......as least the Burlington County Library does.....I know because I take two names off the tree every year......try asking at your county library.
