Which is why in some countries, like Germany, they can say NO to a name. A couple wanted to name their child Osama Bin Laden there and they were prohibited from doing so.

We should have left but were transfixed. We got a wurst and a bier from a nearby Imbiss and just stood and watched the show. We were lucky that nothing happened. I understand that some of those events turned into big, nasty riots.

Agreed Mike. And S-R reps did say that. They have the right to deny anything they deem offensive from being put on the cake... but props to my favorite store :sarcasm: Wal-Mart for complying....

I read in one of the articles this is the 3rd time Shop rite refused, don't know if that is true but if it is I'm sure the parents made sure it received media attention for the potential lawsuit..all though I can't fathom what lawyer would take their case...I'm sure there is a shark out there that would even just for a settlement

So, still supporting the welfare programs, seeing who uses them, and what they do with it?
And WELL DONE ShopRite, well done. I think I'll go a bit further, past the A+P, and on to SR when I go food shopping this weekend

You know, I was just thinking about this subject a little while ago, outside (doing a survey). I really, really hope these little $hits take this case to court, because I want to see if the judge even gives this case standing. To me, this is a matter of a private business choosing how to run their business, and private property rights are also an issue here. I'd like to see this get summary judgment, and set a precedent for such frivolous litigious activity.
And, I also think that British common law courts are onto something: in civil court cases, you lose, you pay the court fees. That would give these spam-suckers pause before choosing to engage in subsequent litigious activity.
This is one reason I have a keen interest in politics, because there is a real stake in who gets appointed to the bench. I hope the courts follow the letter of the law, and interpret it correctly, instead of writing it from the bench.
