Did you go to school with anyone famous/personality, from NJ? (Paterson: movies, elementary school)

My husband was in elementry school with Danny Pontaro (sp?-the kid from Who's the Boss) in Milltown.

Not famous famous, but I was in 6th grade with Marybeth Whitehead's (the surrogate mom in the Baby M case) daughter, Tuesday. We weren't friends, but she was a friendly, nice girl. She had the best hair. LOL. I remember her mom came to get her one day and she had "Baby M" with her...quite the hub-bub.

I went to school with Robert Marshall's kids. He is the one who hired some guys to kill his wife, Maria, on the Parkway rest stop.

My dad was at OCC the same semester that Bruce was.

One of the members of the band Skid Row went to my high school but I did not know him.

I recently found out that a guy I graduated with is a pretty high ranking member of Arnold Schwarzenegger's administation in CA.

My bud Rich went to high school in South River along with Joe Theisman. Changed the pronunciation of his name from 'teaseman' to 'thighsman' when he was later in contention for the Heisman.

Drew Pearson also went to South River High about that time.

You know, that story always fascinated me. I read the book, watched the movie and follow his incarceration stories (i.e. - reducing the death penalty to life). That must've been weird for you. One of the kids is married to Tracey Gold. Did you personally know them?

Yes it was a weird time. I remember going to school the day after it happened. It was so weird. The trial, everything really captivated my town-that is all that was talked about and in the local news for a few years. I remember watching the movie and was like-wow they really portrayed Toms River differently than the Toms River I lived in.

I was not friends with any of them but a friend on the track team was "going out" with John and Chris was on the swim team so I would cross paths with them but I was not friends with them.

Martha Burn from the one of the soaps...I can't recall which she's on but went to HS with her & she dated my long term boyfriend for awhile before I did....I got her sloppy seconds...

OMG Nic my ex sister in law used to baby sit those kids...the families were friends via the Toms River Country Club..and my sister knew Saran, the mistress whose husband I believe owned Lester Glen Buick

Oh that is wild, Kate. Oh yes Saran. I remember when Marshall was locked up in the hotel room and all the drama surrounding that. It was realy a big thing then- I remember thinking this is happening where I live-wow.
