I graduated high school with Andrew Shue but didn't know him. Elizabeth Shue graduated a couple years ahead of me. I remember she came into the town library when I worked there, and I checked out a book for her and her little brother (this was after she had done a couple of movies - maybe Karate Kid?).

Also, Lauryn Hill (from the Fugees {sp?}) lived on my block before she became famous.

Default Famous High School-mates in NJ

Well, I went to the same high/boarding school (Blair Academy) as Singer/Songwriter John Sebastian, a generation later, however, when I was a Junior, he performed a one man show there for the students. One story has the lyrics to his song "What a Day for a Daydream" being submitted by his brother as a poem to an English Teacher that I had for two years. Same story reports that it was graded as a C-. Said teacher has refused to confirm or deny the facts of this incident.

Blair Academy, and the backdrop there, is absolutely beautiful. I used to go to Blair Academy regularly, that was one of our accounts. I always looked forward to going to that place. You are a lucky guy for having experienced it.

My cousin went to school with Jon Bon Jovi in Sayerville. His band used to play in the "Battle of the Bands" and they sucked, but he's always had a pretty face... I guess that's what really matters in the end.

Mine are more like Six Degrees of Separation.

1) I went to elementary school with Susan Hendricks of CNN. Man, why didn't I date her?!?

2) While I didn't go to school with him, I can say my Mom taught Eric Young (he is usually on Baseball Tonight on ESPN).

I haven't but my Mom was in the same class as Phil Rizzuto in Hillside High School, NJ. She said he was just a jock that few liked. While all the jocks got all the girls, Rizzuto was always by all by himself. I guess he got the last laugh huh.

My sister lives a block up from Jon Bon Jovi. As you may know, Jon refuses to shelter his kids in private schools so they go to the regular public schools like the rest of us working slobs. My sisters boy plays football with Jons son, they are in the same class. Mom goes to the games and has sat right next to Jon and wife up on the bleachers. Jon also sits at the bus stop and chats with the kids.

As far as who famous I have met you can check a recent post of mine:

If notorious counts, Robert Janiszewski was my high school psychology teacher, before he accepted bribes as a Hudson Cty exec. He was a very cool teacher. Maybe he should have remained in that field.
