Steal 50B, get ankle bracelet and curfew
So this bastard crook steals 50Billions and gets an ankle bracelet and curfew and will be required to be at his Manhattan apartment from 7 p.m to 9 a.m.
I have another idea: put a noose around his neck and hang him out the window of his Manhattan appartement from 7 p.m to 9 a.m.
Perhaps such a display would deterr similar minded individuals from letting their greed get the best of them.

I thought he was just out on bail. Are you saying they sentenced him already?

Well, I'm glad they're keeping tabs on him. With that much money, he's surely a flight risk. I'm sure he'll have his day though.

I just hope the plea bargain isn't too rediculously lax.

Nah, he isn't a danger to society. Why are we so anxious to lock people up / kill them for white collar crimes, which cause no physical harm to anyone?
His assets should be seized, auctioned to the victims, up to the amount they lost. After that, the remainder should be taken and used for state and fed. Let him start over, ineligible for welfare. If he's smart, he'll work hard and make tons of cash again - and not steal. Otherwise it would just be taken away again. If he decides to off himself.... no real loss.
See? We don't always need to resort to "string 'em up!" when simpler, more effective (and far more useful) actions could be taken.

Shameful (the perp). Anyone that dirty surely needs a speedy trial and appropriate punishment!

Because white collar crimes can destroy lives far more efficiently than others ever can...the damage they cause may not be the same, but it is far reaching.
