Perth Amboy, NJ, Tragedy
You are probably wondering, why now, and why I am writing about this.
Please, do not be angry at me. The truth is it has bothered me, since the first time I heard about it through the media, however, I was not able to follow the trial or events that followed, and I am interested in knowing what happened to that mother. And the recent issue with Cayley Anthony has brought these feelings to the surface, again.
As a mother, I find that tragedy incomprehensible, that a mother will do this to her little children. and it helps my psych to relieve me of these feelings, if I write about it, so here it is:
About 10 years' ago, or so, a husband was cheating on his wife, and took his girlfriend to his mother's house to visit. The wife learned about this meeting, took her two little children, strapped them to the seats, and parked her car in front of her husband's mother's house. There she poured gasoline over the toddlers, set them on fire and locked the car.
I guess this was for her the ultimate revenge. And sometimes I have difficulty understanding what brought this woman to commit such a henious act of evil.
Maybe, you can help me understand it better, and I thank you for your help.

It's probably the same thing that brings two imbecile parents to name their children Adolph Hitler and Aryan Nation-whatever. In any event, she was a crazy b****.

Merry Christmas everybody. Jesus Christ, what the hell made you post this?
Sick people do evil things. Hell, there's a farking documentary coming out pretty much based on this same premise, but the chick killed the father, escaped to Canada, and THEN killed herself and the kid.

If you don't mind me asking, my google search-fu is pretty good. And I've seen nothing on this story. Shenanigans.

It reminds me of an episode of Homicide Life on The Streets. One of the later season episodes, it was a hostage negotiaton with Giancarlito Esposito and Ron Eldard. You thought you were going to get a happy ending with the release of the father's kids who he was holding hostage and go peacefully... he ends up killing all the kids and then himself.
It was one of the few times I was sad and miserable after watching a stupid TV show. Damn, that was a great show.

A mod might want to flag this as disturbing in the title.
Not something I needed to read right before the holiday.
Hard enough reading they found her body.

These murders were not well-publicized like the Westfield murders involving John List, who slaughtered his whole family, or the Melaney Mcquire case, who stuffed her husband in a suitcase, (to this day, I have diffculty understanding how such a petite woman did it "all by herself," and the boys' club of Glen rock, with the attack on the physically/mentally handicapped-teenager.
The three cases above involved upper-middle-class folks, and the New York Media was involved, in all, as well. Plus books have been written on all, and 20/20, Dateline, and other media programs, were part of it. It seems that when other class of folks are involved, issues become transparent, most of the time.
The New Jersey lawmakers, and in this case, Perth Amboy being a small town, have a way of sweeping things under the rug, not to bring attention to the state/towns, for fear of loosing revenues with the tourist trade, real estate industry, or people who are thinking of moving here will stop coming. So, it is better to keep things quiet, and not make much of a fuss, if it is not necessary.
