New Job in Hackensack
Hey people, I'll be starting a new job at the Hackensack courthouse soon and I'm completely unfamiliar with the area. My wive & I have two dogs no kids and would like to rent a small house with a backyard in a nice safe area as close to my new job as possible.
Any suggestions regarding neighborhoods to consider are greatly appreciated!.

Hi congrats on your new job and welcome to the area. It's hard to say without knowing how much you want to pay per month, but 2 towns come to mind without that information: Rochelle Park and Fair Lawn.
How far are you willing to travel? |

Try Maywood or Saddle Brook, both are pretty close. You can look on craigslist for home rentals. It is hard to find a place in Jersey with dogs though.  It is not a dog friendly state as far as rentals go.  Good luck and hope you do find something! |

Thanks for the replies & suggestions so far everyone. I'm looking to spend in the $1800-2200 range on rent.

I figured that would be the case with a condo or apt which is why I'm looking for a house to rent instead. Not sure if I'll be able to find anything nice in my price range tho ($1800-2200). |

Try Paramus the Maywood , Rochelle Park Side or try River Edge, Westwood area too!

I lived in Saddle Brook, when I worked in Hackensack, so easy to get on Rt. 80 to get to Hackensack.
