It all depends when you met these rude people. We have "alot" of "imports" here in this state. It used to be a nice quite state with nice country folk but that all changed when the kids sold off the land that they inherited from their parents who farmed the land. North and South Jersey are two different worlds also.

1.They do not pump their own Gas
So true! But really, what's wrong with that? More jobs for people. I didn't even know that NJ was one of the only states that had people pump their gas until we went to PA on a camping trip and my dad got out to fill the tank. I thought it was so weird when he did that...
2.New Jersey stinks
Ok... Didn't know that. Of course, I live in north-east Jersey, where everything is hidden by trees and corn. Smells pretty nice to me! I can actually breathe here, unlike when I go to NY for school trips...
3.They are Rude
I agree with that, but not for everyone. And people are rude in every state.
4.They can not drive,etc!
Trust me, here we can! Especially when we have to watch out for deers, bears, and cows! And I've driven down to South Jersey, and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary there. Unless making a U-turn on a deserted street classifies as not being able to drive I don't see it.

Maybe the rest of NJ is as bad as everyone says, but up here it's not... Maybe whoever came up with this list should visit more areas of the Garden State before judging it so harshly.

I moved out of NJ to midwest. I actually like people pumping my own gas. Who needs to be go outside in ice cold weather smelling like gas...

Also, people drive like morons everywhere you go. Everywhere...I am glad I moved out of NJ, by far. I do think NJ was good about 10-15 years ago..but after that, its gone straight down hill.

Plus once you come back from a place like the midwest,NJ isn't quite the same. That happened when I moved back from VA...

You'd probably have to experience it to understand it,but basically once you've gotten used to their lifestyle it's hard to accept NJ the same again.

I found it SO much easier to go from a slower pace to a faster one than to go from here to a slower one.
It's really frustrating and VERY hard to get used to.

I'll take NJ any day.

While it was a little irritating at first moving to VA and have everyone tell me I had a bad attitude,in the long run it was beneficial for me (and my blood pressure) living there. But I felt the change again when I moved back to heart attack NJ

1.They do not pump their own Gas
2.New Jersey stinks
3.They are Rude
4.They can not drive,etc!

Is this true?
1. True, but so what? More jobs and its one of our many dumb state laws.
2. Are you talking about smell? Cuz' yeah, the area Turnpike West b/w exits 14 and 17 do smell really bad.
3. There's rude people everywhere.
4. We're some of the best drivers in the world.

Many people from out-of-state don't like us because we are so different. We are a very small state with a large population. Of course being the most densely populated state affects our livelihood and our lifestyle. That's just the way it is. That's what makes us different. That's what makes us New Jersey .
