i think Netcong should be stricken from the list. i live sort of near that area in Western Morris County. its got a population of only around 2,000. its not a cool italian place. its a freaking hicksabama.

kind of the same thing with Roseland. Roseland is a small town, only about 5,000. still pretty italian tho, more so than Netcong in my opinion. and its not a Hicksville. its a pretty sweet place in Essex County, nice town and definately where I am considering relocation after South Orange (I'm going there for college and will most likely live on campus). Its a nice town, very diverse, so clearly not a large haven for italians.

Another Sopranos guy lives in Jersey! Frank Vincent aka Phil Leotardo lives in Nutely. He is the most Italian guy I have ever seen.

Oh yeah, and even though Hammonton in South Jersey is #1 for Italians in Jersey. I still say that North Jersey is the absolute king, b/c of its proximity to New York, which is probably the only place thats more Italian than North Jersey. keep it coming guys!

in another thread similar to this one (but much older). someone stated that New Jersey is only 17% italian. but if u think about. New Jerey has what? like 8 million people. 17% of 8 million is A LOT of people. (the person who posted that was a dumbass b/c he or she said New Jersey has ONLY 17% of people who are of italian descent.)

haha!

Remember the Soprano's "Bada Bing's" is on Route 17 in Lodi (Satin Dolls) for obvious reasons, so what could be more Italian. Lodi is still very "Italian"....Vitamia (great sausage bread) and Visentini's, still the best Italian deli and specialty stores. The senior citizens club could be dubbed "Italian-American" club. And like I said before, the next generation is already planting their roots. The difference is that the real Italian immigrants, like my Mom, are dying off. The language will be disappearing because French is pushed in school curriculums, not Italian.

And wiley 39% of 2000 isn't much. I'm tellin ya, netcong = hicksabama. not a true italian neighborhood. us italians are urbanites, we dewll in the cities. not in a small town on the shores of Lake Muscetnetcong... did i spell that right?

Maybe he's not a racist, but just concerned about all the organized crime in these Italian communities.
