Default Riverwalk town homes in Clifton

What's the best way to go about trying to reduces property taxes for a town home built in 2000? $9000 seems a bit much.

Also what was on the property before it became riverwalk?

The best way is to do the following:

1. Connect with a reputable real estate and have them give you a current market analysis report on what similar homes values are currently. The more depreciation you can show, the better your argument will land in your favor.

2. Take that report to your local municipality tax collector office, and ask them what the process is in order to appeal your taxes. You may have to write a letter and/or go before the local city council and explain why you feel your taxes are too high.

3. It might be a good idea to enlist the help of other neighbors/homeowners who have homes similar to yours. There really is strength in numbers. The more you all show a united front, the greater the likelyhood positive change will occur in your favor.

All the best,

Hi
I live in Cambridge Crossings in Clifton. I also live in a t/h in section 2. I just wanted to let you know that we also pay around $8,800 and up on property taxes. Section 1 also got together and did everything ambernoble said to do. And section 1 really got screwed from the city. They city realized that they weren't paying enough in city taxes and almost everyone's property taxes went up. If I was was you I would ask around and make sure that your not opening a can of worms. Good Luck.
