Default New Egypt--Good Place to Live?

I just came across some properties on the outskirts of New Egypt. Actually, they are listed as being in Plumsted Township.

Also, we need to find a stable for our horse but I think that there are a lot in that area, but I could be wrong.

Haven't been out that way in years. Any thoughts, suggestions etc. would be most appreciated.

I haven't been out that way in years either, but I've heard New Egypt is an okay place to live. (But, the last time I was at the New Egypt flea, it was really, really dumpy.) There's still a lot of land in that area for a stable/horse. Take a ride to check out the area. Look up "Red Barn Antiques" in New Egypt for a place to visit and ask the people how they like it there.

Many thanks! Sounds like a nice place to see-I love antiques!

Wink Pretty nice

New Egypt is a sleepy little town. Very cute downtown. Friendly. Marketplace grocery store where everyone knows your name. I sent you an email. We can chat.

New Egypt has a good school system. Its a small town, close to 6 Flags Great Adventure.

If I could have afforded it, I would have bought close to where you are looking but not exactly.

I would go just a tad further into Upper Freehold Twp (Cream Ridge)...NHH's land. Soooooo much nicer, better schools!

Good Luck!

Shanny

Shanny, you made the better choice. Cherry Hill is better than Upper Freehold Twp, unless you're looking for a horse farm.

Great new neighborhood. Nice folks. I made some quality friends in Allentown, New Egypt & Cream Ridge.
Horse farms, sure we have some but it's not all horse farms.

If you need land, then Cherry Hill won't do. I lived in Allentown, went to AHS, and some of my friends are from New Egypt and Cream Ridge. Yes, the people are nice, but I would not live there again. It's pretty, but not much else to offer.

NewHomeHappy, the older I get the less land I want or need. I need to be around people, too. I had an uncle that died of a heart attack while attending a picnic in Cream Ridge. The ambulance couldn't find the house and had to call for directions, not to mention, the closest hospital was in Freehold. I'm not saying he would have lived, but he had no chance to find out. If I need help, I want to be able to fall out of my front door and hopefully, someone will see that I need help!
