Default North Jersey commute to Long Island

Can anyone comment on the door-door driving commute time b/w northern jersey towns like Haworth, Tenafly, Demarest, Englewood and Long Island towns of Roslyn, Great Neck? Husband may have to do this commute.
Thanks so much.

during what time of the day will he be doing the commute? During of rush hour times he'll have a better go of it than during rush hour - but it's going to be long, any way you look at it... The main problem is getting past any egress into Manhattan - once he gets past that, it'll essentially be a reverse commute.

Ponysmom,

You already started a thread on this topic and you got quite a few responses.

Believe them. It is a horrible commute that will make your husband crazy. If you want a happy husband either move closer to Long Island or see if he can get a job in NJ.

I would rather swallow shards of glass than do that commute. You husband can kiss his non-working life goodbye with that commute.
