Eagles vs. Giants - Take Three
Most of the Giants fans I have talked to sound pretty nervous about facing my Birds on Sunday. I feel the Eagles have nothing to lose, since nobody even thought they would get into the playoffs. Giants have more to be embarrassed about if they lose.
My status says it all.....

Eagles are dangerous. Plus they just beat the Giants, pretty much dominated them physically, in Giants stadium. Eagles aren't going to be afraid to go in there again and do the same. Giants have to prove they are the same team without Plax. That seems to be a distraction. Giants have to be committed to running the ball in this game to win IMO. If they don't they are playing into the hands of Jim Johnson's defense which put on a clinic last week. Eagles by 10.

What's the weather for the game? If there is any precip, wind, anything, I give the Giants a big edge. Their offensive line play against the Vikings was very good, with nothing on the line. They were feeding their 4th string RB (Danny Ware) the ball and even he was getting yards. The problem continues to be the defense, it hasn't looked as good over the past 4-5 games. However, if the weather is a factor, that aids the Giants D. The Giants offensive line/running game is more conducive to succeed in the wind and slush. They'll have the ball about 35 minutes of the game, which means McNabb and company have to get first downs. They are not going to run, so that west coast 5 yard lateral passing becomes important. In the bad weather, it's not going to be nearly as executable for them. That's why if the weather is good, I give the Eagles a real chance.

The Eagles will run even if not successfully. Reid's been calling a much more balanced game since late in the year. That's why they've been winning. They ran against the #1 run defense in the Vikings last week on the road, they'll do it again this week. The layoff also might hurt the Giants, Eagles are going to be ready to go. One factor is special teams - Aikers is notoriously bad in Giants stadium. It is supposed to be much colder this weekend with chance of snow. Could be a factor.

OMG Mike, your status, LMAO.
Eagles are NEVER a gimme, but my men MUST pull it out Sunday. I'll never hear the end of it from my IL's otherwise. They've lost every game this year I did NOT watch. My a** will be planted to the seat Sunday! Giants 24-17.
The Eagles are last year's Giants. Wannabees. LOL!

Andy has had no choice since that pathetic Baltimore game. Management threatened to take away the locker room buffet if he didn't shape up the play calling.
Just got off the phone with David Akers, he's not going to miss anything on Sunday.

Don't let superstition rule your life....go out somewhere, how about the park! Better yet, come hang with me and DH at Schooley's, I love sparring with the Giants fans there weekly.

Please. The last Giants/Eagles game the Giants were without Jacobs for most of the game, played as poorly as they have all year, and still lost by less than a TD.
If they lose Jacobs again then yeah, I do not like the Giants chances. But the week off helps his ailing knee.
These games are always close but I don't see how you can go against the Champs. Especially against a Philly team that did not show up against Washington in week 16 and barely beat a bad Minnesota last weekend.
Call it Jints 24-17
Only team that scares me is Carolina. And that is mainly because I respect John Fox.

I don't know, I have a weird feeling that Arizona is going to take Carolina out. Not sure why I feel this way, on paper Carolina should kick some serious butt.
