Default carriage park for 55 plus residents in Lawrenceville, NJ

Does anyone know anything about Carriage Park 55 plus community in Lawrenceville, NJ? I am considering moving there, and I am looking for a safe, easily accessible location that I would want to retire in. Thanks.

I don't know anything about the development except where it is. It looks really nice-http://www.kalian.com/rm/communities/carriage_gate_lawrence.html

It is located in a well established neighbourhood, near the senior center and the library. Easy access to Rte 1 and 295, close to QuakerBridge Mall and all that other shopping. There is an Acme grocery store in the Lawrence Mall and a Shop Rite in nearby Mercer Mall.

Thanks for your response. I have heard that being close to the eastern part of Trenton is not good, and from looking at a map, it seems it is not far from that area. I have seen on these boards too that there is an infiltration of gangs in the Lawrenceville area, but that the town has been proactive in that respect. Any thoughts on buying a condo in that part of Lawrenceville and real estate values? Thanks.

It seems as if that area is still pretty desirable; Trenton is a short car ride away from anywhere in Mercer Cty that is on Route 1, but I am in that area quite often and it doesn't seem that there are any real problems. I tried to get my DMIL to buy/rent in that area, but she didn't.

Bionicwoman- being too, too close to Trenton from any direction is not good. But you will be fine in that area of Lawrence, there is no reason for the no-good-guys to be in that neighbourhood, it is totally family established.

If Sunil's Dads' DMIL was "Demon" M-I-L then you might be concerned. But apparently he likes her

You "guys" are so funny....actually my son-in-law saw an advertisement for the place, and he is much loved., and I think those sentiments are returned...so I will assume I am a DMIL in the positive sense .
