Sicklerville is getting slammed due to overcrowding and problems with the schools.

Crime prevalent? I'm not saying I would go there, just wondering why these seemingly beautiful homes with sprinkler systems and extras up the wazoo are going for under $300k.

I don't think it's crime related. I think Sicklerville was dramatically overbuilt and the local schools have become a major problem to the point that people are selling in droves driving the prices down. Probably lots of foreclosures as well.

A dirty secret: towns that are required to comply by the Mount Laurel vs Burlington County NAACP to provide low and moderate income housing can transfer these parcels to other towns, and still be in compliance. Sicklerville is a town that embraces these transfers. They willingly take them from other towns. Hence, the reason for the cheaper housing.

I was going to say much the same thing. If houses are really cheap, there always is a reason why, even in these times. I would stay away from Sicklerville, even if you don't have children who would have to use the school system.
Wish I could recommend even farther south but in all honesty the job market, even in the medical field, has been drying up big time. My hubby is a nurse and has been hit hard by this. Down here houses really are bargains and they are in nice areas but if the jobs aren't there, or you don't feel like commuting one hour each way, then it doesn't do any good.

I guess you're not talking about Cape May. That's 609 area code.

"Down there" isn't the only area that has the 609 area code. What normal area are you from?
