Wink South Jersey

I have lived in Morris County my whole life and am thinking of moving to south Jersey this summer. I am looking for an area with low crime and reasonable apartment pricing. Also, I am a medical assistant so if anyone knows what areas would be best for my profession. Help and thanks in advance!!!

The hospitals are concentrated in Camden and Burlington Counties. Towns to check out include Collingswood, Haddonfield, Cherry Hill, Marlton, Mount Laurel. Check the apartment guides for rents, there are some very nice developments in these towns. Mount Laurel has a high concentration of condos and townhomes that you could rent as well.

below ocean county

I was going to tell you to look into the Toms River, Bayville, and Pine Beach (there are other little towns in between). There are many medical facilities (a lot of retirement villages) and a couple of hospitals there. This is Ocean County.

Maybe, if you can be more specific of what county or town you have an interest in, someone can tell you more information.

It's been a long time since I've been through Deptford, so I can't tell you anything about that area, other than it's south west in NJ.

Take a ride to Toms River (near the ocean, bay, and the river) and check out the area. Toms River is huge; it's more than a town and there's a ton of shopping (Hooper Ave), food stores, etc. As I stated in a previous post, there are a lot of medical offices, too. If you're not sure about where to live, this would be a good place to start.

Deptford is pretty decent. Rents are probably reasonable down there and you are surrounded by a ton of shopping and restaurants. There are lots of healthcare options in nearby Camden in Philly.

If I were you - I would search in Northern Gloucester County, Western Camden County, and Northwestern Burlington County. Anywhere in that area - you will be close to hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Specific towns to AVOID include Camden, Gloucester City, Pennsauken, Woodbury, Westville, and most of the towns along the White Horse Pike (Route 30) that are SOUTHEAST of 295....such as Magnolia, Stratford, Lindenwold, Clementon, etc.

If you give more specifics - I can be more helpful.

I have to ask. I found a lot of great looking houses in Sicklerville for extremely reasonable prices. Is there a reason for this?? Like you really don't want to live there, so they're keeping it cheaper?
