Default throwing this out here, I tried on business forum but

you NJ people are alot more hip! So here is my question for you smart NJ people who are business minded.

Comany is called Skyworks Capital, LLC, they do capital investments and deals and for mostly the airlines. They do have a website under Skyworks Capital. Here is my questions:

Can a company that does Investments and financial type stuff do well in this economy? How do you think the future will hold out for these types of companies? Do you think things will go down for companies like this? Thanks alot Marilyn

Depending on their focus, some finance companies can do well in any economy, and some perform best in tough times, depending on their services and strategy.

I didn't look at the website, but lots of companies need more advice in these times; some firms that provide financial advice and/or consulting are extremely busy right now, because their cleints are struggling and need outside advice.

Some of the best investments are made in times like this, and the best loans are made in down times as well.

But it all depends on the specific company and their place in their market segment. No easy answer... no substitute for lots of research.

thanks, this company mainly does merges, leasing and deals for the airlines. This is not an investment question for me, its a general question on how this business will fair with this economy . I thank you for your answer. Marilyn

yes, if they are in mergers it might be a good time for them as airlines could consolidate business due to bad economy. if oil had been above $100 a barrel for a few more months, we would have seen some of them go out of business.
