Affluent Active Adult Communities in NJ
Can anyone reccommend any 55+ communities in New Jersey -- looking at $300 - $500k range. Your help is appreciated. Thanks!

Rosemont Estates is in Marlboro and very nice, and I think they fall in the upper part of that range. Go to Regal Homes and look under communties.

I just visited my aunt in Jackson yesterday at the KHov Four Seasons at Metedeconk Lakes and it was really nice. It was apparently voted one of the best places to retire. There are great amenities there too and it definitely falls into your price range. There are fifteen models to choose from so you have a lot of variety.

Wanaque Reserve in Wanaque (way north - no idea if this is what you're looking for). A friend's mother lives there and loves it.

The Grande in Holmdel. Also, I believe Colts Neck has a relatively new adult community but I'm sorry, I don't know the details. The Grande in West Windsor is nice, my parents lived there and it's very close to Princeton. These three are beautiful (and affluent) towns.
Good luck in your search!
The link below is for "Colts Neck Crossing" in Farmingdale.

My aunt and uncle live in 4 seasons in allentown. It fits your price range. While I generally wouldn't call it "affluent", between taxes and maintenance they fork over ~ $24K a year. Because of that, I'd have to say, yeah, it's affluent. LOL Nice area.

There's Canal Walk in Somerset. Those folks are really active and always seem to be in a great mood.
