I didn't like Bradlees either.......
But, remember there were not the choices that we have today.
Pretty soon, if all these stores close that they keep telling us about........We will be back down to
a handful of stores again. Most likely..........

The thing is the "good stores" were really good stores.

I miss the "Mom and Pop" stores were they knew everyone's name in the neighborhood.

Jersey Man, It's been so long ago, I probably forgot about the Pix theater (probably cause I was too young) but do remember the State.

Miss taking the Party Boats out of Belmar and Atlantic Highlands.
We used to take the Palace party boat out of Hoboken. It was docked behind the old Maxwell House coffee plant on the Hudson River We played cards all the way to Ambrose Tower before we went fishing. It used to stop in Manhattan on the way out. Oh we're starting to show our age.

OMG, you Jersey City people - remember "The Alps"? (Did I ever post this before? I'm going senile). My mother used to LOOOVVVE this place. I was too young to know any better, but my brother and SIL tell me this place was horrible. Nasty people, bad food (fruit cup in syrup from a can!). LMAO - I just remember you had to walk down a few steps to get to the front door.

I like it better when we "show our experience". It sounds better (almost said more mature).

I'd like to go back to Jersey City to revisit the places I used to hang out at. The CYO was one of them.

I have a very vague memory of going to Palisades Park. Considering it closed in '71, I was almost too young to remember
