Could many of you let me know how I can find information regarding property taxes in NJ?
My husband and I want to move to Jersey City or South Amboy at this point...are not sure.
We would appreciate any leads on this matter.
Thanks so much!
P.
Call the tax assessors in each town you are interested in. Unlike some other states, NJ's property taxes are NOT assessed upon transfer of deed, but rather every few years at one time per town/municipality. The schedule of who/when is determined by the tax assessor in each town.
