There is a state program for kids but being that she is an adult, she may not be eligible. But then again, maybe she is if she's attending school? I'll see if I can find the website for you...
Charity care.....unfortunately I've had to tell my 18 year old college student that either she gets insurance through her job, pay for it on her own 350.00 per month or forgo it all since she's got no real income. If something happens she will qualify for charity care.
It is a real shame that American kids fall into this hole and yet we provide free health care for illegals that shouldn't be here to begin with..........

Tell me about it! and it's not just kids that fall into this hole.. all of us.
I'm sort of in a similar place as your daughter. Just for reference, I'm a 20 year old male. I was working full time until September, and I had health insurance through my job. However, I took a leave for a couple months (to do volunteer work, nonetheless), and so I became a seasonal employee, and even though I started working full time as soon as I returned, I was not eligible for health insurance.
Normally my take on this would be "well, I guess I'll have to try the 'don't get hurt' health insurance policy." However, I have an ingrown toenail that's been making walking hell for the last couple months, and there's barely anything I can do about it. I'm going to college full-time now, so I might be able to get on my father's plan, but even for that I have to wait a bit, and the entire thing has left me extremely frustrated.
