This holiday weekend was the nicest series of snowfalls we've had ... I wasn't expecting them and they just kinda happened. Yesterday was nice, looking out the window watching the snow fall on a day off.

But overall, so far, I'm disappointed we haven't had more! :-)

I think it proves that the debate over global warming is far from over. The politicians who are still out there spouting off about it are looking at data that ended with the 90's as the last decade of record. The entire 2000's have been on a significant worldwide cooling trend due to the significant dropping off of sun spot activity. Which of course has nothing to do with man-made activities. One of these days we'll realize there are forces out there far beyond our control (and I mean nature and science) and no attempt we can make to reign them in will succeed in doing anything but wipe out the last meager legs of our already failing economy.

I'm enjoying it as I always do. When it's the dryer, lighter stuff it's easy to manage with just a shovel.

I agree Monday's snowfall was breathtaking to me... and the best part it was dry and light so clearing it out was not a problem.... I could use a few more snow showers like that :-)

I'm starting to tire of it...now if I was retired and could sit on my couch with fireplace going....good book..some chai tea I wouldn't care if it snowed every day....

Right now I'm more weary of the frigid temps...having to warm my car up for about 10 minutes each morning...thank goodness the price of gas isn't what it was over the summer

One or two really good snowstorms would be nice. In Monmouth County we have hardly seen more than a dusting. I have lived in central jersey most of my life and remember winters full of snow. No question there is global warming.

As a child growing up in a cul-de-sac street, we loved when the snow plower took the time to push all the snow into the middle of the circle. It would take time and effort..... and the result? A huge snow mountain in the middle of the court ready for slides and tunnels to be created by the neighborhood kids.

Times have changed - today, it hardly snows... and I think it would be hard to find a snow plower who is willing to take the time to carefully place the snow into the middle of a court, but rather, would simply push it all to the edge of the street.....'cuz that's easier.
