Corn meal is completely unnecessary. It is basically for people who are less skilled to get the pizza off of the peel. A lot of people do not like the texture...

Locally or Papa John's runs a special often, w/ a coupon 2 pizzas on M & T for $13 which is a pretty good deal if you don't mind leftover pizza. Mangia!

I grew up on authentic NY pizza in Staten Island. Although I don't think it's possible to get that taste again since the ingredients are not the same or of the same quality. One which comes to mind and stands out is Lisa Pizza in Laurence Harbor rt 35s.

Local pizzeria in my town/pizzerias in the neighboring towns.

Who the hell lives in New Jersey and orders pizza from a chain? They can get that cardboard in Utah. One of the only benefits left of living in this state is the pizza!

I mostly get my pizza at Stella Pizza in Collingswood. No frozen or chain pizza stores for me, I had to eat enough of that garbage when was down south(Florida) for a while.

Pete and Elda's is the bar and Carmines' is the restaurant addition with fantastic pizza. It may be the best pizza you ever had because you won't find any better.Even in Staten Island.
