these three towns represent the heart of black bergen county
teaneck does not have the restaurant selection of hackensack and englewood
both hackensack and englewood have growing hispanic communities
englewood and teaneck are closer to NYC
Englewood looks nicer though

By far englewood is better than the two town mentioned....
Some might joke Bergen County's Triangle of Death..........
Lol Just Kidding.......
Englewood has better shops and resturants, slightly higher incomes and nicer houses that should hold better value!

Englewood is a nice town. I have family that lives nearby in Palisades Park, I believe. It's the same town where the movie "Big" starring Tom Hanks was filmed. In fact, they used my relatives's house in the filming process. I always thought that these were nice communities.
Englewood has a very large African-American population, as well as Teaneck and Hackensack. It's unfortunate that some of my fellow whites automatically associate these towns with crime. Englewood is a very nice town.
I've heard some rumors of Teaneck having some bad areas, I don't know if that's true though. And I don't recall ever setting foot in Hackensack.

you're thinking of cliffside park, not palisades park. the exterior of an actual house on greenmount avenue in cliffside, right near the border of ridgefield and fairview, was used as the adolescent josh baskin's residence. also, the closing scene of the movie when he walks down a leafy street and turns back into the younger version of himself was shot on greenmount. and if you look closely, there's a brief scene in the middle of the film in which there's a carton of milk sitting on the breakfast table with josh's "missing child" photo; underneath the picture is a caption that reads "josh baskin, cliffside park, new jersey".
when i was a kid, we all thought that was pretty cool and a big deal (no pun intended).
incidentally, the scenes at the amusement park in the beginning and end of the film were intended to represent the long-gone palisades amusement park, which was located on palisade avenue, straddling the border of fort lee and cliffside. because the park was demolished in the early 1970s and replaced with luxury high-rise apartments, it obviously wasn't available when this movie was shot, so the director used rye playland in westchester county as a substitute.

very true. all three are nice towns with sizeable middle class african-american communities, including a number of upper-middle and upper income AA residents.
