Default ideal location - centrally!

Hi:

Just joined this forum to find it useful allready
I'm currently contracting outta Princeton, NJ. I am looking to buy a place (townhouse/condo < 300k) - which I would wanna live in for the next 3/4 years.
Location wise - I would like a 'daily commutable' to midtown nyc or Princeton within ~1 hr (door-2-door). I'm not concerned about school district but safety is def. a prime - I saw a few places in Sayreville/Oldbridge arounds -
Any other suggestions, tips will be more that appreciated and helpful at such a moment

Tx !

a townhouse in "montgomery woods" in montgomery? it's a princeton address, and probably within 15 minutes of your job. to NYC, you're looking at about 1 hr drive (no traffic, say weekends). you *may* be able to get a 2 bdrm townhouse for low 300's. it's a very nice townhouse development, mature landscaping and you don't feel on top of each other. check out realtor.com for townhouses - zip 08540. they are "rustic" looking.

good luck!

there is a townhouse for sale - MLS 2361874 - $300K. with pictures, if you're interested in seeing what you get. i've spent a lot of time there, and to me it's one of the best townhouse devs around in terms of curb appeal.

You can consider Sewaren. It is a small town off of Route 9. It is about an hours commute to Princeton. It is close to the the bus and train service. You can also consider Perth Amboy and Old Bridge. All of these would be in your budget for a 3 Bd condo/twnhse.
