Default NJ's (maybe) Getting 15.6 Billion -Wooot!!!!!

That may be our portion of the $541 billion Federal Give-Away Cash Bonanza.

So, who do think will be able to follow the money once it lands in our state?

Should be interesting to see who wins, who loses and who will be looking out for us private sector stiffs (if anybody).

It would be great if we could use it to pay down our $40 billion debt.

Unfortunately, John Corzine is more likely to get pregnant than he is to pay off debt.

Default 15.6 B in what format

Would that 15.6 billion be in electronic format or in bundles of 10s and 20s?

15.6 B $$$ is more of a concept than actual cash.

It would take several lifetimes of dedicated planning just to figure out what you should do with it. My goodness, just the interest accrued while your figuring out a spending plan would be a good plan.

Noted in the attachment is a Johnny Carson monologue where he tries to explain the difference between a million dollars and a billion dollars.......to summarize..... a person would have to spend 10,000$ a day for 278 years to use up 1 billion dollars.

Probably the best way to track it is to take a snap shot of every local, county and state official and their business associates' bank accounts before the money becomes available and then again after the money is 'dedicated'.

Hold it perpetuity until NJ puts its house in order. If that never happens, we can then enclose the 15.6 billion dollars in Lucite, place it on display, and list it as another threatened species in NJ.

It didn't take long for 6 billion or so to disappear in the school constuction boondoggle.

Scutiny and oversight? Gotcha.
