Default New soccer stadium in Harrison

I vaguely remember hearing something about an MLS soccer stadium going up in Harrison, but today was the first day I actually noticed it, for some reason. It looks pretty cool - reminded me of those soccer stadiums I've seen all over Europe:

Yup- it's been in the works for years. I was doing estimates for it's construction back as far as 2001, and the company I worked for prior to moving to GA is currently building it. It's going to be quite the place.

They tore down a large industrial complex. When completed, it's supposed to have the stadium, and large amounts of office and residential space. Given the current real estate market though, the stadium is going to be sitting all alone for some time.

Not sure what to call the area, but it's that industrial area near the PATH station in Harrison. If you're heading into New York on the PATH or NJ Transit train, you can see if from the window of the train.

How much revenue do the redbulls rake in?

Is it enough to justify their own stadium?

I doubt it, this is not europe

it's being built on the east side of frank e. rodgers blvd, just southeast of the entrance to the PATH station and just north of the jackson street bridge. specifically, it is across the street and a little bit south of the station's entrance.

as bob mentioned, it is being constructed on a site that used to contain some old red brick industrial buildings. those buildings were torn down a while back, and then the site had to be remediated for the next couple of years due to soil contamination. they finally started building the stadium about a year ago.
