but the fact remains Manalapan is a club for elites.
maybe whoelsebutcharles can answer that better. he claims manalapan is a club for elites. the people who i know that live in manalapan seem like pretty standard family people to me.
Growing up in Marlboro, I believe the point everyone is trying to make is that these neighborhoods are upper middle class. With that, majority people drive lexus, benz, etc. They give their teenage kids a brand car once they get their license (like mtvs sweet sixteen) and live in mcmasions. With that being said, having all these expensive things tend to make people snobby. Not all, but most. That is what I have seen and still do see.

what kind of car did you get when you turned 17? did your parents buy it for you?
with someone because of his stuck up attitude. Self righteous, know it all, pompous, arrogant, sniping, passive aggressive. Found out he's now living in Morganville and is making more $$$ than I ever will. One of those "friendships" you develop because of your own unfinished business with your own family relationships
He lived in Bernardsville and Morris town, I would imagine those places are pretty well off too?

1980 Honda Accord. Complete with rust holes to plant your feet in when getting in the car. I bought every single car on my own. Also paid every penny for college myself..include grad school.

Hi,
I realize that this is a thread from like 2 years ago but Im very interested in finding information about MOrganville, NJ. My husband and I are looking to move in that area and would love to find out any information you are willing to share.
My former neighbor once taught at Marlboro High School. After 8 years there, she completely left the teaching profession because she could no longer deal with the attitudes, particularly parents. After some unfulfilling jobs in the private sector, she returned to teaching in an urban school where she is appreciated and respected. On a personal note, when my son told me he was dating a girl from Marlboro, I rolled my eyes. Turns out my now daughter-in-law is wonderful and her parents are very down to earth. Not everyone has the "Marlboro" attitude.
Marlboro used to be a slow paced rural town. That says everything.
