I think refresher courses are needed for those who drive in New Jersey (whether they live here, or not!!!) I cannot believe how many people I have seen, in recent days, driving slowly in the left ("fast") lane, as people whiz by them on the right. Don't they get it?

If you're going slowly, please stay in the right lane. Please leave the left lane for those who want to pass you. It's really easy!

Anyone want to help me spread the word?

I have a theory, in that these people need some kind of guidance while driving, therby just following the median since it is close to the driverside and being totally oblivious to the rest of the world...

here's another tread about it:

Well hopefully, as revenues keep falling they can actually start enforcing the damn law that says you aren't allowed if only for the fine revenue.

This is a major peeve of mine and my husband's. It's just too much!! I've caught myself actually yelling out loud at the slow left lane people. Of course they can't hear me, but I feel better....

Sometimes the left lane is just plain safer--nobody is cutting across you from the left.

The left lane is not safer, if you're in it, forcing drivers to illegally pass you on the right. Stupid left-lane drivers cause road rage. I get pretty angry, when the person in the left lane doesn't follow the law and move the crap over! Left laners should be issued tickets with a stiff fine; maybe then, they'll stop it.

And, cutting across you from the left is called PASSING!

What is even worse are idiots who pass on the right doing 85 or 90. I always move right and check my shoulder if I'm not passing. If you subscribe to these rules of slower traffic moving right, you don't expect someone doing 90 in the right lane. Safety is all about predictability. If you're speeding in an unpredictable fashion, it's a recipe for disaster. I drive a good clip, but too many people act like they're in a NASCAR race.
