Thoughts on West Orange? (homes, preschool, rain)

My husband and I are thinking of looking at homes in West Orange. We were told the schools are bad and that families "like us" would send their kids to private schools. What are some schools around there to send our 2yo to?(obviously we would be starting with preschool and going on from there) Thanks for your input!

The "like us" comment I would take with a grain of salt in regard to West Orange but I have not heard anything recently about the town in regard to the schools. Twenty years ago they were decent with a varied student demo and if that has changed- I would imagine it would not apply to every school in town.
