How cool! I looked out my window tonight and saw a herd of deer eating in the field. One of the deer stood out...at first I thought it was a goat! A white deer with brown spots! It was absolutely beautiful!!! We went out on the deck to try and take a picture but they ran away...
Perhaps it's a sign!!!

I've seen deer that had the same coloring as cows - brown and white. They've been spotted in East Windsor and in Hopewell. I've never seen a white deer. That must have been a beautiful sight!

It was a spotted deer..not completely white but it was still really, really cool!...At first I thought "what's that goat doing with the herd of deer? Then I thought Small Horse? or Really, really skinny cow???? But when she lifted her head (no horns)...it was a deer! I'm still in awe!

A cousin of mine found an albino fawn several years ago. The doe had been killed . They raised it for a bit, and then donated it to a rescue/preserve.

It's actually not an albino but a piebald. Piebaldism is rare, but not as rare as albinism.

Yep-that's a piebald. Albino deer (as are albino anything) are completely white due to a lack of pigment. Albinos also typically have red eyes. Piebaldism is a genetic mutation.

Majestic animal....but what deer isn't ? Theres nothing more relaxing that watching a herd of deer....or horses....grazing in a field as the sunsets.....its therapy for the soul and you feel your anxieties melt away in the peacefulness of the moment....Sadly, we will be robbed of this vision as it won't be long before some hunter feels the need to destroy this gentle creature of beauty to hang its head over his mantel as a trophy. I'm afraid what many would hope to be a sign of a more gentle, accepting world is lost on some......but we can hope.
