Good luck. Hopefully, you won't get any really strange questions... like the one I got years ago, "What kind of animal do you most resemble at work?"

I laughed to stall for time, then realized, "she's serious". Then, a flash of a commercial I had seen as a child for National Geographic Wildlife cards went through my head and I answered "a cheetah... because they're the fastest animal". It worked... I got the job!

Absolutely! Or, another good one: "Sometimes I expect too much of others...." and then take it from there.

It's all a big game. You are essentially selling yourself. And don't forget there is equal pressure: the person interviewing has to fill the position to the best of his/her ability. His/her supervisor is conferring a big responsibility to the interviewer, and thus, their sense of pressure is present too, just not as palpable.

Good luck to you! Just be yourself, and don't lie.

The above icon will be my face when they ask the dreaded - "and what are your weaknesses" question. Oh, how I hate that question....
Use that question to strenghten yourself by explaining any weakness you may have had and how you've overcome it !!! Turn your negative into a positive !!!

Good luck!

Your weakness? Oh, that's easy ... "I have a tendency to be a bit of a perfectionist ... I have trouble letting go until the job is done to complete satisfaction, and my spouse gives me grief because I love spending time on a challenging problem at work ... "

yeah, i think interviewers know the "stock" answer to that question. how about answering, "my weakness is trying to find an answer to this question that will get me this job".

good luck!

Thank you all soooooo much!! Your responses made me laugh, especially finding an answer, and the what difference does it make with this stupid a@# question!

They were so fascinated with my having worked in the prisons. I think we talked about that for half the time.

I asked how many applicants and they said, "several". Who knows.

But thanks so much for the "good lucks". It's been so many years since I've been on an interview. And I think they were younger than me. I feel old
