Moorestown and Morristown. Say them quickly and they sound identical.

I can't believe Pittstown NJ didn't make the original list! Some lady from Pittstown called in to a TV show like Suze Orman or whoever, and the host was kind of incredulous -- "Pittstown???"
OK, how is Watchung pronounced? WAH-chung or wah-CHUNG?
I always chuckle when I hear a newcaster mis-pronouce a town or street name because they're not from the area. Tonight on NJ 101, the traffic reporter was consistently referring to a tie-up on "Eves-ham" (instead of Eve-sham) Road.

More like, WATCH-UNG, ( pronounce, quickly) there is a cool, creepy village there, the county has been awaiting funds to recondition, "FELTVILLE", I have been there in the fall, creepy, like M. Knight Shamalan's, " The Village" , they have hayrides, through the village, total Halloween experience.
Contact, Union County Parks and Recreation, Watchung, NJ
( there's also a Trailside nature, reserve.
Best~

Feltville is a bad name... and yes that place is really creepy!
Also, another group of confusing town names. Matawan, Manalapan, Manahawkin, and Mantoloking.

Woodland Park is just too common, West Paterson is something specific to Jersey. and as for East Paterson, Elmwood Park has become a widely accepted and noted town within North jersey.

How about "New Trapani", "Outer Trapani," "Perth Trapani," etc.?

What if you invite that whole town to come live in one single town over here, and then vote to rename it? I'm just suggesting those names as alternatives to what we currently have.
