I lived in Hicksville for a while. Funny bit - friends came to visit who live in the south - and my friend said to me: "I can't believe I came all the way to NY to stay in a town called Hicksville..."

now that you mention it, Wayne is not a very appropriate name for a township in New Jersey... it's more fitting for a country singer

Speaking of food...Nummytown. Fries Mills, want a burger with that?
I always wanted to know what Shirley, Dorothy and Erma had to do to get towns named after themselves.
Jumbo...Jumbo? There was never more than a few buildings there. Gigantic City!
Slabtown, Scrapetown...doesn't sound like anywhere you'd want to go.
Retreat; people ask me if that's the way to a state mental hospital.

When I hear "Ringwood", I think of ringworms.
I'm not too high on Ramsey and Newton, either.

yea Ringwood is an off name. sounds like Ridgewood, in Bergen county, so I always get them confused.
and Ramsey is a bad name for a town too. it reminds me of Jon Benet Ramsey, the poor little girl who was killed many years ago... it sickens me. also I had a French teacher in middle school named Mrs. Ramsey who wasn't too fond of me. that's why i don't like it.
I think Newton and Wayne should come together and form Wayne Newton township
