For being jersey bred... I have no idea for some of these counties so I'll just fill in the ones I know..

Hunterdon-Tewksbury
Morris- Chester
Passaic- Ringwood (my birth hometown)
Somerset- Bernardsville
Sussex- Fredon or Green
Union- Nice county....drive through it everyday now but really don't know much about the towns...
Warren- Hackettstown, Hope.. Greenwich of course

Never mind... I'm confusing County with Township . Union Township is beautiful (Hunterdon Co)... don't know much about the county except it looks way to busy for this country gal

VCT84 is on a distinguished road
Atlantic- Egg Harbor (Just seems nice)
Bergen- Wood-Ridge (it's probably an underdog, but it's my hometown)
Burlington- Moorestown (close to wear I live now, too expensive, but so cute)
Camden- Haddonfield (also too expensive, but so nice and a lot to do there on weekends)
Cape May- Cape May (quiet and pretty)
Cumberland- Millville (I don't really like any of Cumb County, but there is a Sonic here)
Essex- Caldwell (went to school there, gorgeous homes)
Gloucester-Pitman (my friend lives there, a cute not so well known lil area)
Hudson- Weehawken (water front is one of my fav spots in NJ)
Hunterdon- Lambertville (just too adorable)
Mercer- Princeton (Town i'd live in if i won the lotto...love it)
Middlesex- Cranbury (always loved this town not sure why)
Monmouth- Belmar (my party spot!)
Morris- Morristown (a lot to do, good memories)
Ocean- LBI (nice and relaxing)
Passaic- Wayne (not a big fan of Passaic co, but at least Wayne has the malls lol)
Salem- Can't think of any town that I really enjoy here, no offense to anyone
Somerset- Bridgewater (nice a lot of shopping and jobs)
Sussex- Hopatcong (seems nice few times i have been)
Union-Cranford (nice and quaint little area)
Warren- Hope (childhood memories at the land of make believe LOL)

kalim2008 will become famous soon enoughkalim2008 will become famous soon enoughkalim2008 will become famous soon enough
I basically know only 3 counties - Union, Morris, and Somerset, so..

Morris -

Mountain Lakes
- beautiful historical hapgood homes embedded near large lakes.
- rolling hills and narrow winding streets, many with sidewalks
- tight community with a sense of the town history
- wealthy and safe, good schools.

Somerset -

North Plainfield - cheap town, close to lots of cheap gas, but home to some fabulous historical homes; I still have very good memories of living there.

Watchung - homes with great views up on the mountainside. A big MINUS is that there aren't that many sidewalks in the place and walking is definitely a hazardous sport.

Union -

Cranford

- very safe, middle/upper middle - class town bisected by the winding Rahway river, formerly called the Venice of NJ, and with canoes from the Cranford Canoe Club still plying its waters.

Cranford Canoe Club

- small and nice downtown, although the current economic crisis is starting to pile up the victims.

- very good schools, affordable homes, LOTS of sidewalk. great for walking.

- has many amenities such as a very modern recreation center and several community swimming pools that are used by people from surrounding towns as well.

- the town is looking to create a unique art community with some initiatives by the JCAS:

Jersey Central Art Studios

- has one of the sleaziest, most active, defamation-prone town forums i've ever come across:
