if you were referring to me I do now take offense, this is NJ not GA and if we had every state coming here this would be 500 threads for NJ people to read thru to get confused. Sorry about your sleepless nights, I think GA opened a thread ! How does GA get on NJ?? I am taking offense if that so called person was me. If its not me sorry and please ignore. Listen I dont want you to have sleepless nights, but this info would help GA people so why not post it there??? Im confused and this really should not be for GA UNEMPLOYMENT. I hope you solve all the problems but no need to put us NJ people down in the NJ FORUM!!!! Ohh and by the way if GA shut you down not NJ then please be my guest to post here. I would hate to think GA mods would do that! IN otherwords I do not have all the facts please explain to me? We may have High Tax but were fair here in NJ!!

Default SEB Letter

I received the letter and it states that "This law establishes SEB eligibility for individuals who have exhausted all regular Unemployment Insurance and Emergency Unemployment Compensation , First and Second Tiers on or after February 15, 2009."

Does this mean if our Tier 2 ran out before February 15th, we are ineligible? My last check was on February 4th, 2009.

Thanks.

No if the original date of your claim was March 2008 or later. There are certain things a list of things that make you elidgable for EB, you should call Unemployment office, I think your elidgible unless you took a job and quit. Something to me does not sound right, please call, I think you are entitled. And actually my claim originally was May 2007, and Im on EB, so you need to get the ball rolling. GOod luck and let us know to add to the info for people. Marilyn

Stevemorse,
what are you putting in the "Result of contact" column ie if I sent my resume and I have had no response back or if they said I dont have enough experience or they rejected it outright.

Basically trying to get an idea what other members are putting in that column ?

thanks

I think that when people put in a search through yahoo....or google or whatever search engine they use seeking info for the EB program it links them to your NJ site. It is how I first came through to the city-data forum. The newbies just dont know how to navigate through CD yet and they just post here thinking it is an open forum. I think that they, we get the hang of it after a few posts. I know what you mean when you say it can cause confusion but if the regulars just direct the newbies to their proper area or just explain to them where they need to go then there should be no problems.

For anyone from Georgia I waited on the phone to talk to someone who knew what he was talking about. He implied if you received a letter, you're going to receive benefits, though it seems he was not instructed to directly tell anyone that. He said it should tell you something that you received the letter...

I have two more questions before i seal the envelope to send out my first yellow form for EB.1. It says you can register with an approved hiring hall. I signed on with a local job agency, is this what they mean by approved hiring hall?2. I listed 4 jobs as my searches thru the internet and listed internet address, co. name, and outcome and then i listed 2 jobs i phoned. for them i listed phone number , employer name , contact name and outcome. I just couldnt put the whole street address and city no room where i put the employer name is this ok?

Steve, sadly enough the Ga thread was closed because someone started posting derogitory messages. We were also told that because the same questions were being answered there was no need to keep the thread open, and that this forum was not intended to be a support group. I opened a new thread and it was immediately closed. Please know that Wiz was in no way referring to you. I am sure that you are getting Ga questions because of people are doing a websearch that sends them here.
